Space thinks proposes a reflection on the concept of ''spacing'', theory according to which the make-up and identity of any given space depends on the group or the community that perceives and inhabits the space, and also on the nature of the relationships between the various groups present in the space.

Inspired by these notions of urban and spatial sociology, the "space thinks" project, offered to eight artists the possibility to create temporary artistic interventions in urban public spaces in the Berlin district of Neukölln, between April and November, 2008.
The book is largely based on their artistic interventions, which more than simple sculptural inputs in the city, were designed to integrate with the actual context provided by the functioning neighbourhoods and with the living conditions and lifestyles of the inhabitants of these districts.
