The exhibition Infra muros goes back over the path of Etienne Boulanger, showing a whole selection of works that are emblematic of his artistic research.
Spread out in the CAB arched space in the old casemates made of freestones, the work of the artist is presented through a multimedia installation gathering slides, photos, videos, interactive maps, schemes and tactical plans performed during urban explorations and interventions in Berlin, Tokyo and Beijing.

The multiplicity and accumulation of documentary supports come from an exhaustive strategy, and reflect the geographic and temporal spreading of the actions that are set out by Etienne Boulanger. This plan is based on the mobility in the space, reflecting that of the artist who observes, locates and covers the town, measuring it with his body.

By performing a systematic inventory that gives matter to abandoned spaces, Etienne Boulanger built a peculiar image: that of a body interfering in the crevices of cities between walls.
