"Somewhere in the great forest, at Lake Guatavita, the Chibcha Indians practiced an annual ceremony that excites the imagination and whets the appetite : covered with gold dust, the monarch is immersed in the lake while his subjects throw treasures into the water to honor the Sun God. "
Listening to such a story, explorers and conquistadors around the world found ways to access this golden city. What did they expect ? If the quest for El Dorado leads to the conquest of a territory, it seems to be primarily driven by the fulfillment of a dream and the pursuit of hope. Today, the epic of the conquistadors is distant and gold runs out. Wealth is not made of gold. It has no place; it is diffuse, sometimes virtual.

In ELDORADO MAXIMUM, we’ll present contemporary eldorados. Made of small utopias, they depend on the place we allow to give them. All fantasies are needed to invent them. All tricks are required to invoque them.
