Within the frame of the exhibition Shots at the NaMiMa Gallery in the National School of Art of Nancy, two conferences are offered to students to discuss the work of Etienne Boulanger.

During the first intervention, Katia Gagnard, president of the Association, will present Etienne Boulanger's artistic approach and how he experienced a form of nomadic urban lifestyle. Making the city his playground, he built a strategic reflection on infiltration and interference of vacant spaces. He mainly worked in cities which were symbols of the metropolization process, as it clearly demonstrated by the projects he realized in Berlin, Tokyo, Beijing or New York which are presented here.

The second presentation is conducted by Patrick Hepner, graphic designer graduated from the National Art School of Nancy. In 2008, he worked on the graphic design of the monographic catalog of Etienne Boulanger "Interventions en territories flottants - 2001/2008". This publication serves as a starting point for a further reflexion on the work on words, on the meaning of images, of their political significance and reception conditions and ownership of information that artists chose to show or exhibit.
